Amazing food and service. Food was out of this world good! Definitely a must go to if you are here! Highly recommend the Fisherman’s Curry and Fisherman’s Burger. Also the Salt and Chilli Squid starter... really yummy!

I called in here the other day as I was out shopping with the wife and I decided to get food and let her shop away. I ordered the seafood chowder and I must say it's the best I’ve ever tasted. I then decided to order a fish and chip which was mouth watering. The batter was like nothing I've tasted before. I got talking to the manager about the fish and learned they where MSC-certified. I had never heard of this before but it was so interesting that they can tell me the sea it came from, the boat it came off, and that they fish in sustainable waters.

I honestly cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. From the minute we were greeted at the door by the owner to the minute the manager waved us off, we had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff are attentive but not intrusive and happy to help with suggestions and offer advice.

The food choices were superb and the food that was brought out was simply outstanding. Piping hot, plenty of flavour and so fresh. A wonderful experience for me and my mum. We cannot wait to go back.

Our waiter was the most pleasant chap who attended to our every wish and was good for the banter. We had a shared a squid starter followed by mussels and fish and bottomless chips. These chips are the real McCoy. There are no words to describe how good it all was. They have an extensive menu, catering for every possible taste, and a superb drinks offering to complement your meal. It’s definitely our new favourite in Belfast now. We will return for sure.

Wow, the food and service were out of this world! Our server was a diamond - nothing was too much for him, and he answered all our questions about the menu and Belfast. Sticky toffee pudding and the mussels are an absolute must. Enjoyed everything we had. Can’t recommend it enough! Would definitely return if we ever came back to Belfast.

My wife & I really enjoyed Fish City. Not only because of the quality of the food & service but because this was literally our first Dining Out experience because of the Pandemic in over a year.

Food was excellent. Our Server was more than helpful and also very pleasant to deal with! We ate outside in unusually kind Belfast weather and the table distancing was spot on.

We went twice to this lovely seafood restaurant in the centre of Belfast, thrilled by the wonderful fresh and well prepared seafood, enhanced by an excellent choice of wine and gin and served by some of the most friendly, efficient and hospitable staff we have ever met on our world travels. Popular and crowded restaurant in city center. As starter I had the fish chowder. Just the way I want a fish soup. Creamy with lots of fish and vegetables. Almost everyone had the fish and chips so that I had. A nice piece of cod. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. As dessert I had a chocolate brownie with mint ice cream. A perfect dessert. Very good espresso.

Stopped off for something to eat in Belfast and came across this restaurant. From the moment we entered, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I can honestly say I haven’t enjoyed fish and chips as much as I did here. Very happy to recommend a visit and you get unlimited chips with your fish! What’s not to love?

We are in Belfast for our honeymoon and chose to spend our first evening eating at Fish City. We were blown away by the incredible service and even more so by the food. If you're in the area, you must visit Fish City. This is such a special find!

I never leave reviews, but I must say Fish City was excellent, from food to staff! The waiter’s recommendation, cod and mushrooms, lived up to expectation; the starters were brilliant, recommend the sweet chilli squid! The staff are very friendly and they were great with the kids. One of our last nights in Belfast and the dinner was fantastic. We didn't have a reservation and went a bit early, but they were able to seat us quickly. Our waiter was very engaging and gave us the perfect amount of attention. The fish and chips and Fish City Kiev were excellent. The Salted Carmel Sticky Pudding was the best we had in Belfast.

We called into Fish City for dinner while on a weekend break in Belfast and it was a great decision. The food and staff are absolutely top class. The menu has a fantastic choice of fish dishes with lots of information on sustainably of fish species and locally sourced fish. Highly recommended and looking forward to a return visit soon.

OK. So. I've been a lot of places in my day, and I will dare to say Fish City on Ann Street in Belfast, Northern Ireland has the best Haddock & Chips, bar none. Period. Full stop.

I've been fortunate to enjoy fish a plenty, in many different varieties and there are opportunities to expand on what is a classic recipe. What the team does here is take the simple tradition of fish and chips and incorporate a fresh, sustainable catch, with a light crust and simple sea salt to perfection. Light, flaky and full of flavour. This is a spot that rightfully deserves the accolades its received and are yet to come. You add great food with great people, like Stacy and you have an experience that's elevated above your local chip shop. Great find during the Pride Parade. It wasn't crowded so we thought we'd give it a try. Well, it turned out to be my favorite restaurant of all! The chowder was great and came with a delicious dark bread. We also ordered the award winning Fish & Chips which were amazing. We had a phenomenal dessert with coffee and finally the best service of all the restaurants we visited! The team worked as one to ensure everything was delivered on time, checked in frequently without hurrying us, and just really cared about our experience. This was a great find on our tour of Ireland. Had lunch for my sisters 30th birthday here on Saturday and there is not one thing we could fault. Customer service was 10/10, Margaret was absolutely fantastic.

Cocktails were fabulous and all made fresh to order, they even made a few that weren't on the menu for the birthday girl. The best thing tho about our visit was the fritto misto for four people. There was a massive selection to share, from crab, prawns, fish and squid along with chips. It was all so tasty and honestly amazing value at £20 a head. We will definitely be back soon

A fantastic experience here for a Saturday lunch for our dining club which meets monthly. We had excellent service from friendly and well trained staff who looked after us brilliantly. The food was stunningly good and a lovely selection of well priced wines. There were 11 of us- EVERYONE LOVED their meal! We had a fabulous experience here and would thoroughly recommend this city centre restaurant. Great location for transport links and plenty of pubs, bars and shops in the area to continue the Belfast experience!

We drove 50 miles to try Fish City after seeing on Instagram. Food was outstanding, will be back again. We had chowder, Dim Sum; crab tempura; fish Kiev; roasted cod risotto; and desserts were stunning. Apple Tart Tartin was described as best ever eaten by someone who has eaten lots in France. The nougat parfait was moreish. Staff lovely, giving advise.

First visit to Fish City, l'd been trying to get for a while and finally managed to get there, well I wasn't disappointed. We were a party of 4 and all had different meals. We all had three courses and each of us really enjoyed them all. Service was efficient and friendly, the staff engaged well with us and took time to answer any queries. We will be back, 40 mile trip but worth it.

A great evening out. Everyone made us feel very welcome and accommodated my dietary requests. I hadn't been able to find anything suitable for lunch so l was v pleased to tuck in to the delicious veggies, fish and chips which were all beautifully done. My parents were celebrating their wedding anniversary a day early as we had to fly back the next day and it was a lovely evening. My Dad was v pleased with his sticky toffee pudding and the blueberry and almond tart was also delicious.

A Fish and Chip Lover's Dream. I recently had the absolute pleasure of indulging in a truly exceptional fish and chip experience. The fish was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside. The chips were golden, fluffy on the inside, and boasted that perfect balance of saltiness. It was a classic dish elevated to new heights.
To top it off, the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in.

What a delightful place. Coming from a fishing town, the fish they serve is amazing. Loved the friendly service of the staff who will happily chat and tell jokes and even recommend. The first person to show us to our seats wasn't that joyful but the normal staff seemed fantastic. We went with the medium fish and chips and was full to bursting. We had a spectacular meal here on a busy Wednesday night dining outside. It was warm and sunny out and a great spot to watch the world go by. Our server Stacy was so friendly and instantly made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. We ordered the local mussels and their fish and chips, it was honestly the best I’ve had so far and we’ve tried fish and chips across many places driving around the island. Went down a treat with the local IPA. We were sweet talked into finishing with sticky toffee pudding for dessert and again, divine. Hats off to the chef, and many thanks to Stacy for a fantastic experience. We couldn’t recommend this enough.

This was a birthday treat for me, booked months in advance. We were very excited and I have to say, we were not disappointed, the service was 5 star from the time we stepped inside. The food was 11/10, we were going to just have a sharing platter but ended up having 3 courses each. And an artisan cider. The staff, the ambience and the food and drinks made my 40th extra special. Special mention to the lovely lady that served us who I had a lovely conversation with after our meal. As a chef myself I would highly recommend Fish City as a must go place while here. Outstanding seafood spot right in the heart of Belfast! Gráinne and her team were incredibly welcoming — we felt at home from the moment we walked in. Great wine recommendations, and the food was top-notch. We had the seafood linguine and chicken parmigiana — both absolutely delicious. The real showstopper was the warm Guinness pudding. We were 3 nights in Belfast and booked for first 2 nights 7th and 8th July. We weren't disappointed. Food was fantastic and staff were great. We liked so much we back on last night and luckily without a reservation we managed to get a table . Special mention for Leon (waiter) who was just so welcoming and friendly , great people skills . Decided to find out if the fish and chips were as good as we had heard. So because my brother was over from England we booked a table before dropping him off at the airport. My wife and brother went for the fish and chips while I had the scampi and boy were they good, the scampi was the best I’ve ever eaten and the fish and chips are deserving of the award. Went here for my mum and uncle’s birthday this week, I visited the restaurant early to ask them to put balloons on the table and when we arrived for our reservation, they had kindly added some birthday confetti to the table as well as the balloons! Great dinner at Fish City in Belfast - again. When we’re in Belfast it’s a must to dine at the city’s best restaurant Fish City. A great selection of delicious seafood (as well as some meat and vegetarian options) and most of all, great service from the very friendly staff. It’s the place to go in Belfast for a good dinner. And I love the quote in the restaurant. We will be back.

The most beautiful food. The batter on the fish was light and crispy. The gravadlax was gorgeous and my Guinness and chocolate sponge was amazing. The owner was always on hand supervising and being lovely to all the customers. A favourite spot of ours. You won't be disappointed!

We went here with our tour group. Sometimes tour group food is just average. Fish City knocked it out of the park! Most of us had fish and chips, it’s one very large piece of delicious fish. Pair it with a proper pint of Guinness.

I have been going to Fish City for a number of years. I find the food range and quality exceptionally good. Even with todays rising costs I find it good value for money. The staff are pleasant and professional. I have taken a number of friends and family who all have enjoyed their experience.

Wow had my first Irish Chowder when I came over last month from Swansea. Back in July and I'm coming back to you for that dish, it was divine, I honestly can't wait to come back for this dish and to come back to Belfast love the city and the people.

Excellent experience. It was easy to book a table on line. Once there , the staff were v friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant was spotless and the open kitchen was in full swing. The menu offered many fantastic options. It was difficult to choose. There was a good choice of drinks. The wine list was large too. We opted for the scampi, the cod goujons and cod and chips with wheaten bread and curry sauce. The food was served quickly- it was cooked to order - and was piping hot. We did share and taste each meal - all were fresh, high quality and very tasty. The restaurant was full by the time we left so booking is definitely recommended! We will definitely return.

Would highly recommend, such a lovely experience here. We visited late on Saturday. At first we ordered takeaway, due to having our dog with us. We asked if we could sit in the outside seating and eat the food. The owner came out to meet our dog and advised we could sit upstairs where it was quiet to eat our food- as it was late and dark. All of the staff were amazing and friendly. We ordered oysters and fish & chips for 4 adults and a child’s fish fingers and chips. We explained we had the ferry to catch and everything arrived quickly. It was the nicest fish & chips I’ve had. We all really enjoyed the food and the experience here. I look forward to going back.

I had such a wonderful experience at Fish City in Belfast city centre. The food is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. This is not your average fish and chips – the quality, flavour, and presentation really stand out, showing how much they value their customers. The service is outstanding, friendly, and attentive, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. The meals are simply fabulous, and the prices are very reasonable for the high level of food and service provided. We had to stop here during our visit to Belfast. It was worth it. 3 out of 4 of us had the fish and chips. I had the gluten free version and it was so good. My wife had the seafood chowder I believe and it was amazing. The staff was so nice and happy to help us during our visit. Once inside you can see all the awards on the wall they have won over the years. Once you taste their food you can see why! I can’t recommend this enough to anyone who wants to get some of the best fish and chips around. Thank you for everything you guys and gals we’re truly amazing. An Absolute Must-Visit! We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! We started with two shellfish bisques that were rich, velvety, and packed with deep, oceanic flavors—truly the perfect comfort starter. The oysters were exceptionally fresh, briny, and served at the perfect temperature, reminding us of why high-quality seafood is such a treat. For our main course, we both had the salmon risotto, and it was the highlight of the night. The rice was perfectly al dente and creamy, while the salmon was cooked to perfection—moist and flavorful. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was top-notch. If you are a seafood lover, you absolutely cannot miss this place. We will definitely be back for more!
