These are the 50 best fish and chip shops in the UK, according to a recent awards ceremony. Fish and chips are a delicacy in the UK and have been loved by generations. They are eaten all year round, including cold winter nights and fun-filled days by the seaside in summer. But where in the UK can you get the very best fish and chips? According to the latest awards by Fry Magazine, these are the 50 best takeaways for fish and chips.

Takeaways, restaurants and mobile units were secretly assessed by mystery diners on a range of aspects such as food quality, premises cleanliness, staff expertise, value for money, ease of ordering, and social media presence. Then, the ones with the highest ratings were included in the top 50 list. In the takeaway category, the pass rate was 97%, while many actually achieved 100% scores.
